Recyclemania

Get in the Game! Join Southern in participating in RecycleMania, a friendly, 8-week competition amongst colleges and universities across the nation to see who can reduce, reuse and recycle the most campus waste.  The competition will take place from February 5 through March 31 and will include a series of events.   

Putting off the office purge?  RecycleMania is the perfect time to spring-clean the office. Time to recycle all those old phone books and old journals you no longer need.  Clean out your desk and free yourself from all of the unnecessary paper in your office.  If you need an extra bin to assist in your purge, call the Recycling Office at x26931.  We will make all the arrangements to have you clutter free in no time.  If you want to win, put it in the bin!

national take-back initiative

On April 28, 2012 from 10:00am to 2:00pm the DEA will be hosting an event called  National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This event is for people to bring their unwanted and unused prescription drugs, to be properly disposed of. Last year's event they were able to accumulate 377,086 pounds of prescription drugs! This is a great event to be a part of if you have unwanted and unused prescription drugs that you do not know how to get rid of. Sustainable movie night!

 

Emabark on a space journey with the waste collecting robot, WALL-E for an adventure that will determine the fate of mankind.  FREE popcorn and candy will be available for a nominal fee to support the Geography Club.  Bring your friends and enjoy a night of fun!
