Continuing Education Units (CEU)

With the closing of the Extended Learning Office, the Registrar's Office is now Southern's designated CEU provider for the State of Connecticut.  The procedure for granting CEUs for non-credit programs is currently being revised and new policies and procedures are being developed to meet the state's CEU Guidelines.

On this page you will find the policies and procedures that offer the basic information needed to offer CEU and a general evaluation form for any department that would like to use it as the evaluation required by the state.

You may view the complete CEU Procedure Manual for the Connecticut State Board of Education by going to http://www.state.ct.us/sde/dtl/cert/ceuman11.pdf.  This is the manual that Southern is required to follow in order to remain a CEU granting institution.
