Program Communication

Email is the primary form of communication for the Social Work department.  Students are expected to check their SCSU OWLS email account on a regular basis.  Additional information can also be found on this department website.

Student Participation in Department

Students participate in the Social Work Department in a variety of ways:

1.  A BSW student representative (and one alternate) are invited to serve on the department faculty committee.  This committee meets 1-2 times per month.

2.  A BSW student representative (and one alternate) are invited to serve on the BSW Core committee.  This committee meets once a month.

3.  The Department Chairperson, BSW Coordinator and Field Education Director meet with BSW students at least once a year to listen to student feedback regarding the BSW program.  In addition, students complete an exit survey just prior to graduation where they provide feedback on their experience in the BSW program.
