November 3, 2012 - MSW Admissions Open House

November 21-25, 2012

  • Thanksgiving Recess - No Classes - No Field Work

November 26, 2012 - Classes Resume

Field Evaluations must be completed in Tk20 by December 7, 2012

December 10-11, 2012 - Reading Day, no classes

December 17, 2012 - Field Work break begins

January 2, 2013 - First Semester Field Work resumes.

January 11, 2013 - First Semester Field Work Ends.

January 14, 2013

  • Second Semester classes and field work begin for all BSW and MSW students.
 

January 21, 2013

  • Martin Luther King Day - No Classes

February 15-18, 2013

  • Presidents' Holiday: no field work, no classes

March 25-30, 2013

  • Spring Break, no field work, no classes.

April 1, 2013 - Classes and Field Work resume.

April 6-7, 2013 - Day of Reflection, no classes.

April TBA - NASW Lobby Day.  Students will be excused from class to participate in Hartford.

April TBA - Aavo Rakfeldt Memorial Lecture

April TBA - Graduate Open House

April TBA - New MSW Orientation

Field Evaluations must be completed in Tk20 by April 26, 2013

May 2, 2013 - Reading Day, No Classes

May TBA- MSW Celebration Banquet

May 3, 2013 - Field Work Ends.

May TBA - BSW Celebration Picnic on Lang House Lawn

May 16, 2013 - Graduate Commencement

May 17, 2013 - Undergraduate Commencement

 

**Important Note:  This calendar serves as a guide only. Scheduling field placement hours per week should be determined according to the needs of the agency and the university's scheduled class times.

The required number of hours must be fulfilled as follows:

  • SWK 572-573 Advanced Standing 800 hrs per academic yr.
  • SWK 572-573 600 hours per academic year
  • SWK 570-571 500 hours per academic year
  • SWK 490-491 400 hours per academic year
