Graduate Assistantships in the Social Work Department

The Social Work department has three Graduate Assistant positions:

  • MSW Admissions Office:  Assisting the Director of Admissions by preparing applicant files for review by the Graduate Admissions Committee, guiding prospective MSW students through the application process, maintaining applicant databases, Admissions Office mailings, and other tasks as requested. 20 hours per week.

 

  • Field Office:  Assisting the Field Office with tasks associated with student placements, including communicating with students and instructors, directing students to needed resources, providing new agencies with agreement packets, updating field education agency list on Excel database, preparing letters and mailings, preparing and distributing materials for orientation, and updating student files.  10 or 20 hours per week (usually 10 in Fall and 20 in Spring).

 

  • Department:  Assisting department chairperson with research projects and data entry; assisting the department secretary with reception, with supervision of student workers, and also with various projects for Program Coordinators and other faculty members.  10 hours per week.
