Due to the impending snowstorm, the university closed at 11 a.m. Monday (Jan. 26)
for students, faculty and non-essential staff. All classes scheduled to start after
11 a.m. Monday are canceled. While the residence halls will remain open with limited
services, residential students are strongly advised to return home Monday if they
are safely able to do so. With blizzard-like conditions expected as the storm intensifies
late Monday through Tuesday, movement around campus to Connecticut Hall and other
locations will be difficult. The university will remain closed Tuesday during the
height of the storm. Wednesday's status will be announced once the extent of the cleanup
after the storm is known.
The only thing harder than finding a job is finding the right person to fill a job.
And that's where we can help. For many employers, the Center for Career Services at
Southern Connecticut State University provides a valuable means to help employers
cut through the stacks of resumes, and find the perfect person to fill that open position.
Our mission is to connect Southern students with their future — in other words, to
link employers with students, interns, soon-to-be-graduates, and alumni who fit the
job description and can contribute to a company's success.
