student leadership Retreat

Prior to the beginning of each semester, the Student Government Association, Student Leadership Commission, Office of Student Life and Department of Residence Life host a student leadership retreat. Students serving as executive board members in clubs and organizations or other student leadership positions are invited to attend workshops, programs, keynote presentations and plan for the upcoming semester.

Information for the Spring 2015 Leadership Retreat for the Spring 2015 is coming soon.

For more information, please contact Leadership Commissioner, Kim O'Brien, at

Student leaders are being invited to attend this retreat because they are registered as Southern Connecticut State University's student leaders, either as an elected or appointed executive board member within a club or organization, as an Orientation Ambassador, Community Coordinator/Advisor, or another elected or appointed position.

During the Student Leadership Retreat Weekend student leaders will have an opportunity to begin planning for their semester, receive critical information regarding student activities, and network with other student leaders as we anticipate continued collaborative programming, events, and activities.

Resident students who register for Student Leadership Retreat Weekend will have an opportunity to move-in early. All resident students who have moved in early are required to attend all mandatory programs.  Students who are not living on campus during the Student Leadership Retreat are not required to attend all programs but are strongly encouraged to participate in all aspects of the Student Leadership Retreat.

Students who have university related job training (i.e. Resident Advisor training) and/or academic related obligations or orientations (i.e. classes) may be excused from mandatory sessions that conflict with these university related obligations. Please provide this information on the registration form.

We look forward to hearing from you and we hope that you will take advantage of this tremendous opportunity!
