The Big Event
The Big Event is a campus-wide service initiative in which the Southern Connecticut State University comes together to support the New Haven and surrounding communities. The premise of The Big Event is that one day a year, Southern students join together to provide some type of service or volunteer in the local community. This year, on April 25th, 2015, hundreds of students, clubs and organizations will volunteer for local organizations, agencies, and other locations in need of assistance.
To register a work site, please download this form, complete it, and email it to Melissa Trinks, Graduate Intern in the Office of Student Life, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To register your club or organization, please visit Collegiate Link, click on The Big Event logo, and complete the registration form for a club or organization. Registration will open at the beginning of February 2015.
We have a limited number of spaces for students that would like to register individually to participate in The Big Event. If you are interested, please visit Collegiate Link, click on the Big Event logo, and complete the registration form for an individual.
