NUTRITION and WEIGHT LOSS

Nutrition at Conn HallHEALTHY PICKS @ CONN HALL

HEALTHY PICKS @ CONN HALL was designed by the University Nutritionist in cooperation with the Health and Wellness Center, the Fitness Center and Chartwells, to help you make healthier food choices. HEALTHY PICKS signs are located at 9 food stations throughout the dining room, including the bread rack, the cereal, omelet, baked potato, stir fry, pizza, sandwich, salad and dessert stations. Each sign contains specific tips to reduce fat and calories and add more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lowfat dairy to your meal plan. THE BALANCED PLATE shows you what to add to make your meal more nutritionally complete.

Healthy eating habits are ESSENTIAL to the maintenance of a healthy weight.
We at the SCSU Fitness Center are dedicated to helping students find and maintain a healthy weight through regular exercise and good eating habits-- not diets! We promote ways to eat healthfully FOR LIFE! Let's change the way we feel about our bodies and learn to fuel them properly and challenge them to create strong, fit, and HAPPY bodies!
