The SCSU Fitness Center would like to introduce the new services offered to our members! Note that services are only provided at certain times during the semester.
Personal Training
Available to current Student Members only

- Consists of exercise testing session and minimum of 5 sessions with our trainer.
- Come to the Fitness Center to pick up a copy of the Personal Trainer Application!

Fitness Center Orientation - Free!
- Learn more about the fitness center and to become familiarized with all equipment.
- Feel more confident about using all exercise equipment properly.

- This service provided is free and you can sign up with a friend if you prefer to train together.
Blood Pressure Screening - Free!

Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States. By monitoring high blood pressure, one can significantly decrease the risks that cause this disease.

We will provide free screenings to members who make an appointment with the graduate intern.
Body Composition - $5 students; $8 fac/staff

Fitness assessment and PERSONAL Fitness plan - $20 per student

Fitness Consultation and/or assessment follow-ups
- After 6 weeks from initial appointment, you may set up another appointment to note progress and make changes in goals and/or exercise program.

Note: If a member is involved in a medical incident or if the staff determines a member is at "increased risk" from a health screening form or during a screening test, that member's Fitness Center privileges may be suspended until the member provides a completed medical clearance form to the Assistant Director, Fitness Center . Any health information collected by staff will be treated as confidential and will be kept private to the extent the law allows.
