Fitness Center Fitness Assessment
Fitness assessment and exercise prescription - $20/students
- Fitness assessment and exercise prescription will be provided for members who sign up directly with the trainer and are cleared by the health screening and/or physician's clearance form (if applicable). Space and time will be limited, so appointments will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
- Fitness assessment will include a full fitness evaluation including body composition, cardiovascular endurance, muscle strength, muscle endurance, and flexibility. After fitness testing is completed and trainer has evaluated the results, an exercise prescription will be constructed in order to help guide participant through his/her own independent workouts.
- Fitness assessment will be conducted in the graduate intern office at the fitness center. The exercise prescription will be available several days after testing. Trainer will contact participant in order to discuss results and explain exercise program.
- Participants must call the fitness center and speak directly to the trainer to set up appointments.
- Knowing a baseline of where your fitness levels are help provide the trainer and yourself the information needed to plan an exercise program. Initial fitness status helps to measure quality of exercise program. Exercise prescriptions are a detailed program of various ways to exercise and how to perform and progress them safely.
- Fitness Assessment/Exercise Prescription sessions will be offered together at a cost of $20 for students members. All payments must be made with Hootloot.
Fitness Assessment and Exercise Prescription Follow Up - $15/student
- After 6 weeks from initial exercise test and exercise prescription administration, members may call and set up an appointment for a follow up session with the trainer/graduate intern. Space is limited, so appointments will be offered on a first-come first-serve basis.
- This is an opportunity to measure any changes in physical fitness status as well as a time to evaluate previous exercise program. Exercise program will be altered at this time to meet the needs of the member.
- Participants will have to call the fitness center and speak directly to the trainer/graduate intern to set up an appointment.
- Body Composition/Goal Setting sessions will be offered together at a cost of $15 for students members. All payments must be made with Hootloot.
Note: If a member is involved in a medical incident or if the staff determines a member is at "increased risk" from a health screening form or during a screening test, that member's Fitness Center privileges may be suspended until the member provides a completed medical clearance form to the Assistant Director, Fitness Center. Any health information collected by staff will be treated as confidential and will be kept private to the extent the law allows.
