Dr. Troiano joined the Southern Connecticut State University community in July 2008.  With over 20 years of higher education and student affairs experience, Dr. Troiano is responsible for the leadership and direction of activities which enhance student success and promote student engagement, both inside and outside the academic classroom.

Dr. Troiano enjoys the challenge of working with diverse student populations, and reflects "to be true educators we must recognize the gifts and talents of each student while teaching students to respect individual difference."  He has adopted a holistic approach to student development and works to develop programs and service that educate students across many dimensions -- intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

Nancy came to Southern in September 2006. Her many years of experience in the corporate and private sector provided her with a wide variety of work experiences, making her uniquely suited for the various administrative responsibilities in this position. "I'm so happy to be at Southern," she has said. "It's an exciting time to be part of the university."
