CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY
The Southern Connecticut State University Police Department is pleased to announce its' second annual Citizen Police Academy.
During the 8-week program, which begins on February 27, 2013, participants will meet from 4:45 to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesdays to learn the duties and responsibilities of law enforcement officers.
The academy will cover topics related to patrol procedures, evidence collection, Taser operation, search and seizure, drug investigations, DUI, traffic enforcement, Connecticut laws and much more.
Participants will have the opportunity for role playing and a ride along with police officers.
The academy is being offered at no cost to participants and is open to students, faculty and staff members of the Southern community.
