L.E.A.R.N.
The mission of the L.E.A.R.N. (Law Enforcement and Residents Networking) program is to develop a partnership between the University Police Department and the University Residents. This will be obtained through safety talks and social events.
About L.E.A.R.N.
The L.E.A.R.N. program was developed in 2005 by retired Sergeant Georgiana Gaffney and Officer Tom Madera for the purpose of developing a partnership where students and officers can get to know one another on both a professional and social level. This will be achieved by first identifying and then assigning an officer to each residence hall. The officers will then conduct safety talks and social events for their respective halls.
The L.E.A.R.N. program was implemented during the 2007 Fall Semester. Officers from each residence hall handed out packets containing their business card to new transfer students and freshmen. If you are a new transfer student or a freshman and did not receive a packet or meet your L.E.A.R.N. Officer and would like to, then please do so by using the list below:
