Shuttle Service

For faculty, staff, and students riding Metro-North or Shoreline trains for their daily commute to campus, the university runs a free van shuttle service to and from New Haven's Union Station during the academic year, Monday through Thursday. The service runs through each semester.

The van picks up and drops off passengers outside Union Station and at the campus shuttle stop outside Morrill Hall.

The trip between campus and the station should take no more than 15 to 20 minutes. A Southern ID must be shown to board the van. There is no shuttle service on Fridays.

Employees and students who have questions or comments about the service should email Joseph Dooley, chief of police.

SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

MORNING SCHEDULE

1)    Pick up passengers arriving 7:40 a.m. at Union Station on Shore Line East # 1637.     
    Wait and pick up passengers arriving on Metro-North #1504 at 7:46 a.m.

2)    Pick up passengers arriving in New Haven at 8:40 a.m. on Shore Line East #1645.

AFTERNOON/EVENING SCHEDULE

1)    Depart campus at 2:45 p.m. for Shore Line East #1630 (3:20 p.m.) and Metro-North     #1573     (3:33 p.m.).

2)    Depart campus at 4 p.m. for Metro-North #1577 (4:24 p.m.) and Shore Line East #1636     (4:27 p.m.).

3)    Depart campus at 5 p.m. for Amtrak Express for New London (5:30 p.m.), Shore Line     East #1640 (5:45 p.m.) and Metro-North #1581 (5:33 p.m.).

4)    Depart campus at 6 p.m. for Shore Line East #1646 (6:38 p.m.) and Metro-North #1587     (6:57 p.m.).
   
5)    Depart campus 7 p.m. for Amtrak Express for New London (7:30 p.m.), Shore Line East     #1668 (7:48 p.m.) and Metro-North #1591 (7:57 p.m.).

6)    Depart campus at 8 p.m. for Shore Line East #1674 (8:50 p.m.) and Metro-North #1593     (9:16 p.m.).
