Health & Wellness fair

Every April, Health Services and the Wellness Center sponsor a Health & Wellness Fair.  The Fair showcases wellness-related programs, techniques, and resources from various departments on campus and community-based organizations.  There are always many interactive programs planned, as well as free information and giveaways.  See Upcoming Events below for this year's Health & Wellness Fair, or contact the Wellness Center at (203)392-6526 or wellness@southernct.edu.

 

Wellness appreciation series

The Wellness Center regularly offers workshops on a wide array of topics, including work-life balance, stress management, relaxation techniques, healthy eating, going green, sexuality, and health-promoting lifestyles.  See Upcoming Events below for a listing of scheduled workshops, or contact the Wellness Center to schedule your own!

 

Wellness Month

October is Wellness Month at Southern Connecticut State University.  The Wellness Center will host several wellness-related activities designed to create awareness on various topics, share information, and provide resources.  Many events will be held in the Michael J. Adanti Student Center.  All activities during Wellness Month are sponsored in part by the Student Government Association.  See Upcoming Events below for a complete list.

 

Work-Life Balance Conference

The third annual Work-Life Balance Conference will be held in Engleman Hall at Southern Connecticut State University on Friday, September 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The conference is planned for women and men faculty, staff, and students at Connecticut's higher education institutions and is sponsored by the Wellness Center and Women's Center. The conference will look at how women and men can achieve balance between their work and personal lives and therefore lead healthier lives.  The conference will provide several phenomenal presentations, information, resources, and support.  For more information, contact Dr. Michele Vancour at (203) 392-5530 or vancourm1@southernct.edu.
