10 Things Men Can Do To Stop Violence And Sexual Assault

1. Be aware of the language you use and who it may be hurting.

2. Communicate clearly what you want, and ask what your partner wants.

3. Speak up if you hear a sexist joke, victim blaming, or other degrading behavior.

4. Support survivors of rape, take it seriously.

5. Contribute your time and money to an organization that works to prevent violence against women.

6. Talk with women about how the risk of being sexually assaulted effects their daily lives.

7. Talk with men about how it feels to be seen as a potential rapist.

8. Form your own organization of men dedicated to ending men's violence.

9. Work against all other oppresions like racism and homophobia.

10. Never have sex with someone against their will.  While most men never rape, most rapists are male.
