Question: I can't log in. I get a DCOP error message.
What happened?
Answer: You have exceeded your
disk quota. The most likely cause is the Mozilla Firefox cache.
Even if that's not the case, you need to delete some files
before you will be able to log in again. How do I delete files if
I can't log in, you ask? Try this first:
Log in to Windows. If you can't, have someone log into their
Windows account for you. You do not need to use your account to
do this. Start a Cygwin bash shell. It is found in the
Start menu under Open Source:

Type in the command ssh
username@newton.mat.owlnet where username should be
replaced by your MySCSU username:
If you are asked if you are sure you want to do it, type yes and hit
Return.
You will be asked for your password. Use your MySCSU password.
Note that you will not see anything appear on your screen as you
type. Don't worry. Just hit Return when you are done.
Type in the command find .
-name Cache -exec rm -rf \{\}/* \; EXACTLY as shown,
including capitalization and all spacing and punctuation.
To see if this worked, try logging into Linux now. If you can,
follow the instructions in the FAQ page How
do I change the maximum
cache size in Firefox? to prevent it from happening again.
If you still can not log in, you are still exceeding your disk quota.
Using the Windows Explorer (in your Windows login) delete some of
your largest files. You must delete enough that your disk usage
drops below your quota (most likely 50 MB).
