How about some answers?

Here's a little snippet of code that will get you through some of them.  It is written in C++ for the Borland compiler.  Slight modifications will be necessary to compile it using a different compiler.

If you just can't stand the suspense, here are all the six digit vampire numbers in numerical order.  Of the 148 of them, only one has two distinct pairs of fangs.  Can you find it and its fangs?

Of all 3228 eight digit vampire numbers, there are only 13 with exactly two distinct pairs of fangs, and only one with three distinct pairs of fangs.  Can you find these special vampire numbers?
