There will be 500 points of possible credit in this class.

There will be a midterm exam during the 9th week of the semester which will be worth 100 points.

There will be quizzes approximately every other week which will be worth a total of 100 points.

There will be a comprehensive final exam worth 200 points.  The final exam is mandatory -- you cannot receive a passing grade without taking the final.

You will need to keep a homework portfolio which I will check regularly during quizzes and exam periods. Assignments added to your portfolio after the due date will only receive half credit. Homework will be worth 100 points.

Grades will be assigned based on the usual ranges:

• 90 -- 100% -- A
• 80 -- 89% -- B
• 70 -- 79% -- C
• 60 -- 69% -- D
• 0 -- 59% -- F
