Spanish Coffee Table

The Spanish language is greatly in demand in Connecticut today, and Spanish is the third most widely used language in the world.  The demand for high school teachers of Spanish today is greater than the supply -- jobs are going begging.

Spanish is extremely useful when combined with business, law, social work, public health -- any number of occupations in the for-profit, not-for-profit, and government sectors. If you know Spanish (or are learning it), consider the following combinations, or minors:

Spanish/biology/marketing (to market the new
biotechnology products in Latin America)
Spanish/marketing/computer science
Spanish/psychology -- to go to graduate school in either social work, counseling, or some other helping services program
Spanish/pre-law (see the Political Science department's program)
Spanish/business administration
Spanish/communications
Spanish/school health
Spanish/library science

People who speak Spanish are in demand as entering students in some of our own Graduate programs at S.C.S.U.  Click on Graduate Study for details.
