Follow These Ten Steps to Access NYTimes Articles at No Cost
1) Go to
http://www.library.southernct.edu/ and click on "Online Databases"
2) Find the link "Alphabetical List" under On & Off Campus and click on it.
3) Click on "L"
4) Click on "Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe"
5) Click on the tab that says "Guided New Search"
6) Use the "Step One" box and click on the arrow button next to "Select a News Category" and select "U.S. News"
7) Find the "Step Two" box just below and click on the arrow button and select "Northeast Regional Sources"
8) Go to "Step Three" and put in key words
9) Go to "Step Four" and select time range
10) Go to "Step Five" and type in "New York Times" and then click on the "Search" button
You will then be linked to full text of NYTimes articles. The limit within Lexis-Nexis is 1,000 or fewer links, so you will have to limit your searches by your selections of key words and time.
