The SCSU Math Club meets alternate Mondays in EN D 125 at 1:00 p.m.

       • Putnam Exam Seminars at SCSU

SCSU’s Math Department will be offering seminars for the William Lowell Putnam Exam Fridays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in EN D122.  Students planning to participate in the William Lowell Putnam Exam should contact Dr. Ross Gingrich or Dr. Joe Fields for further information.

What WE DO:

·      Exchange information related to undergraduate interest in Mathematics

·      Sponsor talks and workshops by students, professors and non-SCSU faculty/professionals on various topics within Mathematics

·      View videos pertaining to Mathematics and its applications

·      Attend various Mathematics conferences

·      Visit science museums

·      Sponsor social activities each semester, such as picnics, field trips, etc.

·      Work hands-on with Mathematics via projects, discussion, etc.

 

We are always open to new ideas and suggestions!

The Math Club:

·      Brings together students interested in Mathematics to promote an active mathematical dialogue on the Southern campus  

·      Helps broaden your awareness of Mathematics and its applications in today's world  

·      Informs you about careers in Mathematics and related areas  

·      Enables students to meet with faculty informally (socials, picnics)  

·      Can create lasting friendships!
