CEMS Jiong Dong Pang
Dr. Jiong Dong Pang received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Rhode Island in 1996. After two years of postdoctoral appointment at Joslin Diabetes Center/Harvard Medical School, she joined the faculty in the Chemistry Department at SCSU in 1998. Her research focused on studying the biochemistry of signal transduction and early chemistry on earth.
Dr. Pang is actively involved in community services using her professional background. She has been judging science fair in New Haven Public Schools and Parochial Schools for many years. In recent years, she gave presentations on STEM disciplines at Career Fairs for New Haven public schools.
Dr. Pang is a member of the Pathways to Academic Excellence (PAcE) Steering Committee.
