Probation or Dismissal Conditions

Graduate School

Academic probation will take place for failure to maintain a 3.0 GPA after completion of 9 credits in the program (graduate school policy). The graduate school will place students in this category on probation. This policy within the School Health Education Program applies only to students with a GPA between 2.70 and 2.99, since any GPA below 2.70 is grounds for dismissal from the program.

Program

Students are placed on academic probation by the program if their GPA falls below 3.00 at any time. Academic dismissal by the program results for students whose GPA falls below 2.70 at any time.

Students failing to meet academic standards will be reviewed by the departmental graduate committee where academic decisions are made. 

Professional Probation

The following constitute grounds for probation:

If conditions are not met to remove the professional probation by the end of the course or semester, program dismissal or course failure may result.
