Sport Management Advisory Board - Kevin Gilbride
Kevin Gilbride is currently an NFL studio analyst for the NFL Network, primarily appearing
on Around the NFL and NFL HQ. Prior to joining the NFL Network, Kevin served as an
NFL studio analyst for NBC Sports Network.
Kevin spent 39 years coaching football, including 24 years in the NFL. His most recent stint came with the New York Giants, where he spent seven full seasons as offensive coordinator, helping to lead the team to two Super Bowl championships. Before becoming offensive coordinator, Kevin spent three seasons as the Giants’ quarterbacks coach. Kevin worked alongside Eli Manning throughout Eli’s entire professional career through 2013, and played a key role in developing the QB into the elite player he is today.
Before joining the Giants, Kevin enjoyed success as offensive coordinator of the Bills, Steelers, Jaguars, and Oilers. He also spent two seasons as head coach of the San Diego Chargers. Prior to his career as an NFL coach, Kevin spent time coaching in the CFL, as well as college football. He compiled a .706 winning percentage as head coach of his alma mater Southern Connecticut State, which is the best in school history.
Kevin graduated from Southern Connecticut State with a degree in physical education. He played quarterback and tight end for the school’s football team. He later received his master’s in athletic administration from Idaho State.
