Our 2019 program welcomed 10 first-time researchers from Michigan, California, New York, Hawaii, and Connecticut! They performed research projects in plant pathology, molecular biology, chemistry, entomology, and forestry. They also participated in lab and field safety training and science communication skills, performed year three of a group project to understand the effects of nanoparticles in preventing chrysanthemum disease, and got career advice from industry, diagnostic, and regulatory plant health professionals.
