Chemistry, B.S. - Concentration: Environmental Chemistry

The B.S. in Chemistry with an Environmental Chemistry concentration is interdisciplinary as the students are required to take three (3) courses in Marine Studies and one (1) course in Earth Science along with their Chemistry curriculum. This concentration can be packaged together with a few more Marine Studies and Chemistry or Environmental Studies courses for a total of 7 elective credits that will allow the student to earn a minor in Marine Studies, in addition to their Chemistry major. This is a well-rounded curriculum where they take more courses directly relevant to their area of interest yet are still required to get a grounding in the traditional areas of Chemistry, such as Organic, Inorganic, Analytical and Physical Chemistry.
