INTERIM ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, CAMPUS RECREATION
As the Interim Assistant Director of Student Life for Campus Recreation, Mandi Kuster oversees the Campus Recreation Office which includes our club sport and intramural program. Prior to returning to SCSU Mandi had previously worked at Norwalk Community College, Worcester State University and Central Connecticut State University. She comes to us with a wide variety of experiences in Student Affairs. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education and Master’s Degree in Recreation Administration from Southern Connecticut State University.
Taylor received her bachelors degree from Eastern Connecticut State University in May 2015. There she majored in Sports and Leisure Management and also worked in different roles in the athletic department as well as working in Residence Life as an R.A. Taylor also served as captain of the Women's Basketball team, leading the Warriors to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2014-2015 season. She left the program as 6th all time in assists, was the defensive player of the year in the Little East Conference and was named Female Sports Person of the year for the 2014-15 season.
At Southern, Taylor will be pursuing her masters degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies specializing in Recreation Administration. As a graduate intern in Campus Recreation, she will be the Coordinator of Intramural Sports, managing and continuing the development of the intramural program. Additionally, she will be assisting in the planning and implementation of club sports and other recreational activities for students.
Sheldon graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in May of 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Recreation and Leisure with a concentration in Sports Management. As an undergraduate, Sheldon was a RA and was also heavily involved in intramural sports.
Sheldon is currently attending Southern Connecticut State University to earn his master's degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies specializing in Recreation Administration. As a graduate intern in the office of Campus Recreation, Sheldon will be overseeing the Club Sports aspect of the Office. He will be assisting all club sports with scheduling, traveling, and assisting in budget management. Additionally, he will assist in the planning of recreational activities for students.
