Publications and Experience

Jon Zonderman is an independent writer and editor with over 30 years experience in daily journalism, freelance magazine writing, book authorship and teaching. He is author or co-author of 11 non-fiction books, and has ghostwritten over 30 books with individuals and author teams from some of America's most well-known consulting firms and corporations. He was the professional writer on an integrated textbook and ancillary package for training medical office assistants. His newspaper and magazine journalism has appeared in national and regional publications, including The New York Times Magazine, Technology Review, Yale Alumni Magazine and The Boston Business Journal, where he served for four years in the 1980s as a contributing writer. From 1997 to 2001 he wrote a monthly opinion column for The Bulletin, a weekly newspaper in Connecticut. In addition to teaching at Southern, he currently teaches communications at Naugatuck Valley Community College and English at the University of Bridgeport. In the past, he has taught on the adjunct faculties of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Fordham University and Albertus Magnus College.
