The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Southern Connecticut State University offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in chemistry. Students can explore specialized interests through elective coursework and research with faculty.
Elective courses cover areas such as biochemistry, medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, pharmacology, instrumental analysis, computational chemistry, chemical education, and environmental chemistry. Students are also encouraged to use elective chemistry courses to pursue research with a faculty member.
