MASTER OF SCIENCE DEGREE

The Department of Political Science offers a variety of courses and options leading to a master of science degree.  Current options include a concentration in public policy and administration; a concentration in international politics; a major area such as American politics or comparative politics, or, a generalist program composed of a variety of political science courses.

 

Admission Requirements

Application materials required by the School of Graduate Studies must be submitted directly to that office.  In addition, applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation and a one-page typed statement concerning their academic background and career plans to:

GRE scores are required except of applicants who received their undergraduate degree more than five years prior to applying.

 

Required Courses for All Students

PSC 594 - Political Science: The State of the Discipline
PSC 595 - Research Methods in Political Science

Students should take PSC 594 during the first fall semester of their program and PSC 595 during the first spring semester of their program.
