The Center of Excellence on Autism Spectrum Disorders

 

Mission Statement

The mission of the Center of Excellence on Autism Spectrum Disorders is to serve as a resource and collaborative partner by developing, validating, and delivering effective, innovative training, services, and technical assistance to teachers, other school-based personnel, families, and community service providers in the use of evidence-based practices for individuals ages 3 - 21 with autism spectrum disorders in the state of Connecticut.

Center Goals

  • To develop, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based trainings, curricula, resources, and services for higher education and PK-12 school personnel supporting the educational needs of children and youth with autism spectrum disorders.
  • To maintain ongoing communication, outreach, and collaboration among multiple statewide agencies and organizations concerning autism-related projects and issues in educational settings.
  • To disseminate relevant information about the Center, its services, educational research, evidence-based interventions, current trends, and available resources concerning educational practices and strategies. 

 

About the Center...

The Center of Excellence on Autism Spectrum Disorders serves and supports school-based personnel educating children and youth with an autism spectrum disorder living in Connecticut. The Center of Excellence on Autism Spectrum Disorders consists of three divisions: Training, Research, and Direct Services.
