transfer Student orientation

Southern Connecticut State University has developed different orientation programs specifically designed to meet the needs of transfer students. These programs are based on students' academic and personal lives. For each program date listed below, transfer students will have the opportunity to choose which track best suits their personal and academic needs. Each day, the program will begin at 8am and conclude by 5pm. Times may vary slightly based on the specific track chosen.

During all of these sessions, transfer students will receive vital information to assist them in being successful and meet with an academic advisor to register for their courses.

Registration for Transfer Student Orientation will be available by April 26th. In order to do so, please visit MySCSU by clicking here. You must know your email username and password to access "Next Steps."

In addition to these one-day orientation programs, transfer students will be invited to Transformation Day, on August 26th (Time and Location TBD).

What to bring to orientation

All transfer students should bring pens, a notebook, casual and comfortable clothes, a sweater or jacket for cool evenings and air-conditioned buildings, rain gear in case of inclement weather, a very comfortable pair of walking shoes, an open mind, a warm smile, and Southern spirit.Also, students should remember to bring their MySCSU password, transcripts, and a photo ID.
