Lead Healthcare Forward

With healthcare one of the largest employment sectors in Connecticut, demand for talented healthcare leaders and administrators continues to grow.

Healthcare runs on more than doctors and nurses. Hospitals and healthcare systems rely on skilled professionals who lead operations, manage technology and data, oversee finances, and shape strategy behind the scenes.

The Healthcare Systems and Innovation department at Southern is home to the Healthcare Studies and Healthcare Management programs. These majors prepare students to navigate the complex healthcare landscape and build careers in hospital administration, healthcare operations, clinical research management, patient support services, and healthcare analytics.

Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing career fields in the state—offering diverse pathways for students who want to lead, innovate, and improve how healthcare works.
