Hours: 20 hours of service per week or 300 total hours of service per semester
Semester Salary: The full-time graduate assistant will receive $5,280 per semester, plus a waiver of the University Fee; the University General Fee (except portion attributable to student accident insurance); and Student Activity Fee.
Position Summary: The GA will support the ongoing research studies that are conducted by the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. The GA will have the opportunity to learn and utilize a number of survey development (Qualtrics) and data management/analytical (Excel, SPSS) software packages in support of the work done by the Office. The GA will also play a role in training and supporting undergraduate student workers, ensuring the accuracy of their data entry and similar tasks.
Qualifications: Applicants must be a matriculated graduate student at SCSU and must be enrolled full-time (9 credits or more) in the Fall 2026 semester. Ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills; strong attention to detail; experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., excel, word, power point); good writing skills; and an interest and aptitude for research and assessment.
Applicants can expect to have the position renewed in the Spring 2027 semester contingent upon funding and/or the successful completion of tasks and responsibilities in the Fall 2026 semester.
