About Bell Hooks

Gloria Jean Watkins, better known as Bell Hooks, passed away at the age of 69 on December 16. Her legacy as a champion of intersectional social justice reaches every corner of the world and reminds us of the need to consider, hear, and protect the most marginalized voices. Her writing points out unrecognized inequities and stands as a beacon for those who brave the path of intersectional social justice. SCSU chooses to honor Hooks and her legacy with an event on March 24, 2022.
