Mission
The President’s Recognition Initiative for Staff Employees (PRISE) Committee is charged with identifying actions that will foster a culture of appreciation and celebration in the Southern Connecticut State University workplace and with making recommendations regarding specific recognition activities that would both acknowledge and thank employees for their contributions, dedication, and commitment to the Southern community.
History
The PRISE Committee was convened on March 23, 20218 by President Joe Bertolino. This initiative was in response to results gathered from a 2017 Campus Climate survey and one-on-one meetings between President Joe Bertolino and campus leaders. The initial representatives included representation from staff unions (SUOAF, Facilities, Campus Police, Clerical), groups (Administrative Faculty Senate) and the Office of the President.
