Educational Leadership, Ed.D. (Hybrid)

The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies’ Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership Program prepares educational leaders, researchers, and policy makers in its 4-year, cohort-based program geared toward the working professional. 

Graduates of our program assume prominent positions of leadership in public and private school systems and research and policy organizations in the state of Connecticut, across the nation, and around the globe. 

The program offers two concentrations:

  • General Concentration: a “General” concentration through which students craft a unique program of study to suit their particular professional interest in PreK-12 Educational Leadership, Higher Education Leadership, Educational Research, Educational Policy, or other education-related areas.
  • 092 Connecticut Intermediate Administrator Certification Concentration: an 092 Connecticut Intermediate Administrator Certification concentration through which students are certified to serve as building-level leaders in the state of Connecticut.

Students admitted to this program are provided a cohort model, rigorous face-to-face and hybrid courses, field-based leadership and research experiences, personalized faculty advisement, classes one night per week, online and campus-based supports/resources, opportunities to publish and present research, and access to professional organizations and networks intended for this most advanced level of study.
