Excellence in Education Since 1893

For more than a century, Southern’s College of Education has led the way in preparing Connecticut’s teachers, counselors, school leaders, librarians, school psychologists, and behavior analysts. As the state’s largest producer of education graduates, we offer 30+ programs grounded in research, real-world experience, and a belief in the power of learning to change lives.

Southern graduates are ready to step into high-demand roles across the state. With strong school partnerships, dedicated faculty, and a commitment to equity and excellence, Southern is shaping the educators who are shaping Connecticut.
