Day of Caring 2021

Thank you to over 1,750 donors who contributed to the future of Southern students during the Day of Caring — a day dedicated to enhancing scholarships and programming. On this day, the Southern community raised $628,530 for students  — a record-level of support!

Southern students now face new challenges, and thanks to the individuals and organizations listed below, students will not only receive financial assistance, they will continue to receive a strong Southern education.

Faculty/ Staff Social Media Challenge - $250 [Sponsored by Dennis Reiman]

Faculty/staff member that shares the #SCSUDayofCaring and #ONESouthern and receives the most likes by April 26th will receive bonus money to fund of their choice.

Athletic Challenge - $4,000 [Sponsored by CT Boiler]

Social Media Challenge - $1,500 [Sponsored by Jackie Garofano]

Six community members with most creative social media post sharing their Southern Pride and #SCSUDayofCaring and #FundName (ie #Nursing, #CollegeofEd) will receive an extra $250 to fund of their choice (six separate challenges throughout April 28th)
