Students pursuing a minor in Spanish will develop language proficiency while exploring the history, cultural production, and geography of the Spanish-speaking world, including the United States. Each course focuses on building language skills and deepening students' understanding of Spanish speakers and their diverse cultures.

A Spanish minor complements majors in fields such as international business, social work, education, sociology, health sciences, psychology, political science, communications, and environmental studies, enhancing career opportunities through bilingual skills and intercultural competencies.

Study Abroad

Students pursuing a Minor in Spanish may choose to enroll in faculty-led programs in Chile or Spain for academic credit.
