Southern’s Minor in Data Science provides students with critical data-centric skills necessary for success in today's data-driven decision processes. Data scientists are in high-demand jobs, including fields in technology, marketing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, finance, and government. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is projecting a 19% increase in demand from 2016 through 2026, and excellent opportunities exist through Connecticut's tech corridor (Stamford to New Haven to Hartford) and in the financial centers of Boston and New York City (NYC).
