CT State Tuition Waiver
Eligible veterans, National Guard members, and qualifying dependents may receive a tuition waiver for fall and spring semesters after federal benefits are applied. Summer and winter terms offer 100% discounts on course fees, depending on eligibility. Students must be accepted to SCSU, domiciled in Connecticut, enrolled in a degree or certificate program, and submit the Veteran Benefits Application. For more info, visit Veteran Benefits at SCSU.

Payment Plans for Veterans (with Waived Fees!)
Spread your semester balance into smaller monthly payments. Eligible veterans receive interest free monthly payment plans with the enrollment fee waived. Plans adjust automatically as charges or aid change. Note: Later registrants may still qualify for the remaining installments. For more info, visit Veteran Benefits at SCSU.
Fall Semester
Start as early as April for max flexibility.
- Best Plan: 7 month plan (April–October)
- Enroll by: July 15 bill deadline
Spring Semester
Begin your plan as early as November.
- Best Plan: 5 month plan (November–March)
- Enroll by: December 15 bill deadline
Summer Semester
Get the most flexibility, enroll by March.
- Best Plan: 4 month plan (March–June)
- Available immediately after registration
Tuition Assistance (TA) Program
The TA program may cover up to 100% of tuition for eligible active duty, National Guard, and Reserve members. Coverage Limits:
- Up to $250 per semester credit hour
- Up to $4,500 per fiscal year

VA Education Benefits
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs offers education benefits for veterans, service members, and eligible dependents. Getting started is simple: apply for benefits, submit your Certificate of Eligibility to SCSU, and certify your enrollment each month.
