The mission of the Department of Counseling and School Psychology is to prepare clinical mental health counselors, school counselors, school psychologists, and Counselor Educators and Supervisors who contribute significantly to the life-long development and well-being of children, youth, adults, and families in a multicultural society. We incorporate nationally accredited/approved curriculum standards, best practices, a social justice advocacy framework and active clinical and field practice into our programs. We are committed to providing high quality, accessible and inclusive programs to support socially and culturally diverse candidates that reflect the communities in which they will serve. 

The Department of Counseling and School Psychology (CSP) includes three fully accredited/approved and nationally recognized master's degree programs: Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and School Psychology. The CSP department also houses a Doctoral Program in Counselor Education and Supervision, soon to be seeking national accreditation. Also, the department offers a variety of certificate programs in the following areas: Addiction Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and School Psychology.
