Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)  

From the US Department of Defense: Cybersecurity is a top priority for the Department of Defense. To protect American ingenuity and national security information, the DoD developed the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0 program to reinforce the importance of Defense Industrial Base cybersecurity for safeguarding the information that supports and enables our warfighters. CMMC is designed to enforce the protection of sensitive, unclassified information that is shared by the Department with its contractors and subcontractors. The program assures the Department that contractors and subcontractors are meeting the cybersecurity requirements that apply to acquisition programs and systems that process controlled unclassified information.  

All Course Material is developed by Southern Connecticut State University and is Authorized and Approved by The Cyber AB (formerly called CMMC-AB), the official accreditation body and non-governmental partner of the US Department of Defense. Training is taught by some of the most renowned cybersecurity experts in the world who all have proven capabilities in the classroom in addition to their wealth of knowledge. 

An Executive-style training format: students choose from a lunch-hour course or an early evening course twice a week for six weeks.  No need to take a full week from their work and life to attend class eight hours per day.

AWS: Certified Cloud Practitioner

In this eight-week training, students will learn the fundamentals of AWS services, backgrounds, features and the knowledge needed to pass the AWS CCP exam while having the ability to learn from a real life examples. Live virtual class sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6 to 7 PM EST.  Class cost includes AWS CCP test.

This training provides a deep dive into entry-level project management skills. You'll master creating project documents and artifacts. Learning with an industry expert, you will also learn Agile basics, focusing on Scrum events, artifacts, and roles. Through real-world scenarios, you will improve communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Training includes access to the full platform of Coursera asynchronous learning for five months, a $250 value. Students who complete the training will receive a professional certificate from Coursera. Drone Academy

The Drone Academy is a five-module, non-credit program geared towards enthusiastic hobbyists and working professionals who are interested in gaining the knowledge and skills needed for drone operation, aerial photography and videography, FAA certification exam preparation, and computational photography and 3D mapping. 

Each module can be completed as a stand-alone option, and participants can customize the program depending on their specific areas of interest. Participants who complete all five modules will gain a strong understanding of safe drone aviation, will be prepared to successfully pass the FAA exam, will learn the best practices for making quality aerial stills and videos using Photoshop and Final Cut Pro, and learn how to use Px4d software for landscape mapping and 3D modeling.

Data Science, Graduate Certificate 
Southern's 12-credit, graduate-level certificate in Data Science is designed for business and industry professionals who work with data or who are interested in data-driven decision-making. The certificate introduces students to Basic Python programming concepts, Python libraries, machine learning algorithms and models, and basic statistical and mathematical principles. Students learn analytical skills taught with current industry-standard tools, as well as fundamental programming skills to retrieve, manipulate, and visualize data.
