OWLL Mission Statement
In its broadest terms, SCSU's Office of Workforce and Lifelong Learning will help to raise the visibility of Southern to audience members who may or may not currently be in the formal education system (i.e., adults, working professionals, community members, and non-traditional learners), provide opportunities for current students, create a bridge to further credentials for professional and personal advancement, support the University's social justice mission, and provide alternative revenue streams for the university.
OWLL Vision Statement
SCSU's Office of Workforce and Lifelong Learning seeks to rebrand its image to reflect a flexible approach to teaching and learning that focuses on creating multiple on-ramps to higher education for individuals throughout their lifetime of learning. These expanded educational opportunities will cover a broad range of experiences, including professional development offerings, digital badges and credentials, credit for prior learning assessment, and credit and non-credit certificates.
