Department of Finance Programs

The concentration in finance prepares students for service as academically prepared professionals in the financial services industry and as financial officers in both the business and not-for-profit worlds. All functional areas of business are included in this major, along with the special awareness and higher level financial skills needed for institutional and economic development. Specializations may be taken in corporation finance, investment and financial markets, and depository institution management.

Graduates of this program are prepared for employment in business, government or non-profit organizations, teaching, research, consulting, and further graduate level education.

The real estate minor, consisting of six courses or 18 credits, is designed to appeal to a broad range of students within and outside the School of Business with interest in real estate practice.
