Career in the Classroom- Request a Workshop for Your Class, Club, or Team

The Office of Career & Professional Development (OCPD) delivers on-demand virtual or in-person workshops that build the NACE career-readiness competencies and connect students with practical tools—from résumés and interviews to job search strategy and JOBSs. Faculty, staff, and student organizations can request a session below.

Our workshops are designed to educate students about the comprehensive services provided by the OCPD and to deepen their understanding of essential career development topics. By participating in these workshops, students will have the opportunity to explore and develop the NACE 8 competencies—critical skills that are highly valued by employers. In addition, we provide valuable resources and information to help students make informed decisions about their career paths and navigate the real world of work with confidence.

Past workshops have included:

  • Resume and Cover Letter Writing
  • Career Exploration
  • JOBSs database
  • Job Search Strategies
  • Career Fair Preparation
  • Interviewing Techniques
  • Industry Professional Visit

* Please note that workshops can also be customized to best meet the needs of students!
