Family Science Night

Family Science Nights are held from October to January at targeted New Haven elementary schools and are focused on hands-on, inquiry-based learning for children grades 3-5 and their parents. Family Science Night is dedicated to the enrichment of science education by increasing family awareness and involvement. This is an evening of exploration of scientific principles that are presented by local STEM students. The aim is to demonstrate the process of scientific inquiry to both students and their families.

New Haven Science Fair

The New Haven Public Schools Science Fair Program is an amazing opportunity for students interested in STEM to work with children and teachers from PreK through grade 12. The teachers work with the students to investigate hands-on science fair projects in order to promote skills in critical thinking, scientific process, and communication.

Partnerships

The SCSU STEM-RI Office is committed to partnering with innovative and high quality companies. Learn more about these companies and partnerships below.

New Haven Works

New Haven Works seeks to build a middle class in an urban center and improve economic stability in all communities by providing employers with a trained and qualified workforce and connecting New Haven residents to good jobs.

CT Next

CTNext evolved from the desire to help innovative entrepreneurs succeed in Connecticut, in two ways:

  • By providing direct assistance in terms of capital, mentorship, networking, and skills development
  • By serving as a catalyst in the evolution of an “innovation ecosystem” – a community of entrepreneurs and a network of resources, programs, and institutions working together to help that community expand and succeed.

New Haven Innovation Collaborative (NHIC)

The New Haven Innovation Collaborative works to catalyze growth in technology and entrepreneurship in the New Haven area by utilizing funding by CTNext for grant-funded projects.
